We have a lot to see today including a tour at the Greenbank Observstory. We pretty much packed up last night so we could make a quick getaway. We planned to do breakfast at Seneca Rocks rather than sitting our campsite. We were away by 7:45 and viewed the Blackwater Falls on our way outContinue reading “Day 8 – Blackwater Falls to Greenbriar State Forest”

Day 6 – Ohiopyle State Park
We took today off from driving and spent the day in the campgrounds. We slept in late, had blueberry pancakes for breakfast then spent the rest of the morning cleaning the van and going for a long walk. Day 5 – Kentuck Knob, Frank Lloyd Wright
Lovely cool evening last night with a campfire while we watched a movie on my laptop, Radioactive, about Madame Curie. Excellent movie Kentuck Knob A national landmark. Day 4 – Berkeley Springs to Ohiopyle
The heat has broken and we woke to this gorgeous morning. Coffee and REAL Montreal bagels ( we bring them back when we visit our Montreal family). Mr and Mrs Mallard are out and about. Day 3 – Antietam Civil War Battlefield
We had a different start to the day. Both of us had zoom meetings. My husband’s was at 8 am and mine at 11 am. Day 2 – FO 76 – First Location – Harper’s Ferry
We had a somewhat leisurely start this morning. Harper’s Ferry requires walking… outside. The drive wasContinue reading “Day 2 – FO 76 – First Location – Harper’s Ferry”

Today and tomorrow are travel days. We are avoiding Washington. DC by taking Hwy 58 East through Norfolk, VA across the Chesapeake Bay – Tunnel and up the DelMarVa peninsula. This funky sandpit is traversed by 3 states, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. Gas prices continue to rise today. I don’t know if it’s state specific,Continue reading “Day 18, 19 to home”
