1 August, Six Mile Lake PP

We didn’t leave camp today until almost noon. We certainly don’t have far to go to our next one. Six Mile Lake. This is a holiday weekend here in Ontario and campsites were hard to find. In order to find places, we had to move every night.

Not a lot to report today. We didn’t stop anywhere  between campgrounds and ate all our meals in camp.

Our campsite in 6 Mile Lake is more open but with some shade. A pleasant enough spot to spend a lazy afternoon reading and sewing. After finishing my quilt the other day, I could get out my next project of hand sewing.

I’ll just post photos as there is not a lot to write about. It’s a little cooler today, very comfortable for sleeping but very nice mid day and sunny.

Morning reflections at Oestler PP. We had a second coffee on the beach after a long walk.
Typical lakefront cottage country.

Our mini campfire.
Our campground neighbors are 3 campsites of families together and a lot of kids. I couldn’t get an accurate head count or of the accompanying canines either. It’s now quite common to see projection screens on the sides of trailers for movie night, or earlier in the season, hockey night.

Not much in the way of good walking spots in our immediate area and we’ve walked the relatively boring camp loop a few times.

Tomorrow night will be interesting. The only campsite Brian could get was in a municipal park in Dundalk, Ontario where I am sure we will be parked in a field. Sunday I have tickets for ‘A Winters Tale’ at Stratford, Ontario. Back to civilization
