The last 2 days were spent reconnecting with a long-time friend who is now living in New Bern, NC. We spent the entire time talking, about everything! She gave us a tour of her sweet Town where she has been been using her communications skills on projects intended to unite the black / white communities. She is an exceptional lady.
We left New Bern a little later than we intended. The bank informed us of possible fraud on our credit card which indeed was the case. Once we had that situation under control, we hit the road around 11 am. Traffic north was uneventful and we arrived back at Kiptopeke State Park where we camped the first night (and our 4th time hete). It sure is a lot warmer than it was two weeks ago.
But before we drove into camp, we stopped at the Maine Lobster truck parked outside the entrance for lobster sandwiches for dinner. Lunch was just a quick salad in a fast food chain so the lobster will be a great way to end the trip.

From here, we have a straight shot home tomorrow. It’s been a nice relaxing trip. Not too much driving, longer stays in camp, good healthy food, lots of walking and a visit with a friend.
Sitting here in camp now with a glass of wine, some raw veggies with hummus and light dinner music, anticipating the lobster.
There are quite a few class B Rvs camped her tonight on our same van body. All of them are Winnebago. Is this a meetup of some kind?
We have had no problems whatsoever with our van and we see no further modifications necessary. We travel lean and mean these days. We could go for 3 months with what we brought on this trip. Although I am missing my hand sewing which I purposefully chose not to bring with me this time. I should know better.
04.06.2025 to Home
I’ll finish the blog here. It’s a beautiful morning. We cleaned up in prep for the last run Home. Its about a 6 hour drive from here. Hopefully traffic around Philly isn’t too bad on a Sunday afternoon.
Thanks to everyone who took the time to read this and be part of our travel community. Who knows how long we can continue to be safe, healthy and happy so let’s enjoy it. Happy trails everyone!
