30.03.2025 Beaufort, SC

Today we backtracked to Beaufort, SC, a drive of about 2 1/2 hours.

We walked around Beaufort for about an hour or so. We have been here many times visiting friends who used to live here. I have also written about it in a previous blog.

I am just posting a couple of new photos just to prove we came through here.

See description on plaque below.
Note the notable patients and nurses.
Eucalyptus tree.
… and gorgeous azaleas.

Our campsite for the next 3 nights is Hunting Island State Park, about 21 miles south of Beaufort on the coast. We just plan to relax here, walk along the beach, read our books. We stopped for lunch along the way and picked up some food supplies for the next 3 days.

Rain drove us indoors at 5 pm for the rest of the night. We had picked up a salad and some broiled salmon for an easy dinner with cookies and icecream for dessert.

A nice easy day.

I’m thinking the next 2 days will be spent in camp with perhaps not a lot to blog about other than perhaps the thunder storms that are threatening the area for the next couple of days. Rain is needed here. We are still in a fire ban.

Stay tuned.
