Day 6: Blythe Island park

We stayed in this campground twice on the 2022 trip to Georgia so I dont have a lot to add from last year.

We have a lovely campsite overlooking the lake. We took the day off from sightseeing and spent the day in camp. Cleaning up and drying off from the storm the night before, doing laundry, walking the campground, zooming with close friends and family was the order if the day. I also finished an audio book while getting in some hand quilting. It’s coming along quite nicely.

Last year we had rabbits in our campsite. This year it’s an assortment of very odd looking domestic black and white ducks and a male mallard. There were 7 of them this morning. The mallard is in a tight group with 2 of the other ducks that waddle everywhere together with him chattering to them the whole time. It’s all very strange.

Monday we head to Stephen Foster State Park and the Okefenokee Swamp, another of our favorite and pre-visited sites.
