Today we start the trek home. It’s another gorgeous morning with coffee and breakfast outside. A leisurely pack up was followed by our usual morning walk albeit shorter and earlier.
We also needed to get gas… it’s $3.99 per gallon here this morning. I understand from talking to friends at home yesterday that it’s over $4.00 now. And our Canadian daughters are reporting gas prices of $1.80+ CDN .. that’s approximately $5.00 per gallon USD.

Having taken I-95 north, we are once again facing delays around Savannah due to multiple accidents. We have been driving for an hour and our driving time to our destination is the same as it was when we left camp. It’s more like a parking lot than a highway.
I might spend today monitoring gas prices as we go north.
.. Brunswick, GA 3.99
.. Savannah, GA 4.19
.. between Savannah and the northern border of South Carolina, anywhere from 3.99 to 4.09, for regular. Diesel is pushing $5.00 per gallon.
One day layer, Norfolk VA at a 7Eleven, 4.29 for regular unleaded, ExxonMobil 4.19,
Arrived at our campsite mid afternoon and went for a long walk. This campsite is merely a stop along I95 and doesn’t merit much comment. Looking forward to our monthly Curious Minds zoom call with friends tonight, network permitting.
