We don’t have far to travel today as we are just heading back to Blythe Island Regional Park for the weekend.
We have a nice routine now on yearly days… leisurely coffee and breakfast, shower if we need to, pack up everything and then go for a nice long walk.
Today’s walk took us to the famous Jekyll Island driftwood Beach, which isn’t at all like I imagined. The driftwood is full size oak trees! These gnarled and weathered trees are left behind from years of erosion.

We did a bit of food shopping along the way, enough to get us home. What I badly needed to do was laundry! Happiness is clean sheets! It’s nice to be in a familiar campground and I already knew the facilities.
I also had time to zoom and play online games with family. Wifi and network is reasonably good here. We have firewood for a campfire and hopefully we can stay outside after dinner, something we haven’t done for a few days.
Sitting outside with a pre-dinner drink and softly playing music. The gnats are back but we are trying to pretend they don’t exist and the Thermocell does an OK job but it’s not perfect. Hence the need for something screened. We had a lovely evening outside with a fire and Netflix on a laptop.
